2019 Bike to Work & School Week Runs May 27 - June 2 BC-wide!

Our mission at GoByBike Mackenzie is to encourage and promote the use of bicycles as everyday transportation. Whether it’s biking to work, school or the store: cycling is good for your health, your wallet and your environment!

If you registered last year, all you have to do is Login and you are registered for this year's event. Note: if you forgot your password, click on Request New Password and enter your email address.

About the Grand Prize Trip:

Spend a magical 8 days cycling through the dazzling landscapes of Italy's Prosecco region. You will be pedalling on peaceful back country roads and through breathtaking vine-covered hills, extending as far as the eye can see and exploring several fascinating historic towns along the way, including elegant Treviso, Bassano and mediaeval Asolo. At the end of each day your efforts will be rewarded by tasting the best of local gastronomy, obviously along with a crisp glass of delicious Prosecco!


This grand prize trip package includes economy class round trip flights, hotel accommodations, a local leader, planned routes and itineraries with support vehicles to follow. Prize winner must be 19 years of age or older. Contest terms can be found here.

How to Qualify:

  1. Register for the 2019 Spring Bike to Work and School Week.
  2. You must log kilometers for at least one trip that you choose to ride your bike instead of drive a motor vehicle between May 27th and June 2nd (for example, if you choose to ride a bike instead of drive a motor vehicle to work, school, the gym, run errands, meet a friend for coffee, etc.).  
  3. Enter the Exodus Contest here. Note: if you enter the contest/prize draw, you will only qualify if you have logged a trip between May 27th and June 2nd. Contest closes June 17th, 2019.
  4. Prize winner must be 19 years of age or older.

Calling All Local Businesses! We are looking for locals to set up celebration stations here in Mackenzie! Celebration stations are tents along popular biking routes with snacks, drinks and prizes. Hey Mackenzie cyclists! 

Stop by the Mackenzie Recreation Centre tent Monday, May the 27th on your morning cycle commute as they'll be hosting a Celebration Station at 8:00am to kick off 'GoByBike Week'

Enjoy some refreshments, fruit and check out what's going on this week. If you haven’t already done so, make sure you register on www.gobybikebc.ca/mackenzie then make sure to login your rides to qualify for the prizes!

GoByBike BC strives to increase the number of cycling commuters in our communities through initiatives such as GoByBike encourage people to experience "the joy of using bicycles for everyday transportation."

The District of Mackenzie, Northern Health, Mackenzie Outdoor Route and Trail Association - MORATA, and all our partners,  support this initiative and want to encourage Mackenzie residents to stay healthy and happy ~ keep moving, enjoy the beautiful outdoors, meet other bikers in your neighbourhood and have fun!
